PHOTOGRAPHERS | FILMMAKERS
Florian Raidt (1983, Bregenz, Austria) and Sebastian Lager (1987, Vienna, Austria) studied photography together at the Die Graphische University, Vienna, and have worked together as Raidt–Lager since 2013. Their first project, Day for Night, photographed the male bar owners in the red light district of Vienna. Since then they’ve developed their own style of still life photography that emphasises the freedom and absurdity of the medium, alternating between fake snapshots and precisely staged compositions, using both digital and analogue cameras – shooting on a medium format Hasselblad and Mamiya RZ67.
Raidt–Lager are well experienced in commercial shoots and working closely with clients. Their unique creations have featured in Vice, Stern, Der Greif, CRUST, Oyster, and YET magazine, and exhibited at the Kunsthalle Wien. They have also worked on video campaigns for T–Mobile, Samsung, and Austrian detergent brand Claro.
